E. O. Woghiren - Founder

 

Edwin O. Woghiren is the Founder of Egbe Woghiren Educational Foundation which provides scholastic sponsorships to talented youths to train in skilled-trades. He is also the Founder and executive director of EWEF (Edwin Woghiren Educational Foundation). EWEF provides “Skilled-Trade” training to Youths & talented individuals in impoverished communities around the World.

A Canadian Citizen, Edwin is also an “Edo” native from Benin (aka - Bini); a "Kwa" speaking People of the “Old Benin Kingdom” in West Africa. ... Please click here for more Info on the founder...

Kim P. Simmons - Director: Finance and Executive Assistant.

 

Born in Buffalo, New York where she grew up, Kim is an only child of Geoffrey and Betty Simmons. Both are Canadian Citizens. At eleven, Kim moved to Canada with parents. . She holds a Bachelors degree in Finance and a Masters degree in Commerce from University of Phoenix. After fourteen years at GE in 2001, she became a stay-at-home mom raising her two daughters. Her trip to Sub-Sahara Africa (Senegal & Mali) in 2002 changed her life forever! She’s strong believer in people’s empowerment. Initially as volunteer, she joined EWEF in 2003.

Riley O’Donnell - Projects Manager / IT Matters

 

Riley’s parents moved to Canada from Ireland when he was three. A devout Catholic, Riley has always has a benevolent spirit. With a Degree in Fine Arts, Riley later attended Ryerson University in Toronto earning a Bachelor in Computer programming. Riley is a qualified IT support professional in addition to his work at EWEF. He believes in giving back and personally trains those needing Computer & IT support for their community infrastructures. Apart from his commitment to EWEF as a staff, Riley takes prides in being a personal friend of the founder as well.

Brenda Long - Coordinator: Volunteer Resouce

 

Brenda Long graduated from Mohawk College as liberal Arts major. As with most Hamiltonian and Hamilton being the Steel Capital of Canada, she worked for many years in the Steel Industry as Personnel Assistant. Over the years, she volunteered at various charities helping the mentally challenged in Hamilton. As a mother and struggling with relatives who has addiction difficulties, she vows to help avoid that problem ever happening to someone else. "I work here because EWEF’s work in training youths for Self-Help empowerment is that solution,” ...she said.

So please join us in this effort to make the world a better and peaceful place for us all. Together as partners we fulfil the notion given us by the 'Most high'; of doing onto others as we would like done onto us; particularly to those less fortunate amongst us for no fault of thier own but circumstance.
